Here are a few of many poems written by my students yesterday.
This one is a couplet:
When I sneeze I go "achoo,"
and then stuff goes on my shoe.
(Genius, I tell you.)
Another:
The water drops into the sink,
Pushing my boredom to the brink.
Here is a limerick:
Cookie, candies, and cake
Are all some thing you bake.
Cookies crumble.
My tummy rumbles.
Let's hope they don't taste fake.
A haiku:
Glistening water
Spills down a smooth flat face
Chasing the unknown.
